Dami Im to perform both national anthems at Australia vs Korea Republic International Women’s Day clash

Australian-Korean star Dami Im will deliver both national anthems in a powerful a cappella performance ahead of Sunday night’s blockbuster AFC Women’s Asian Cup Australia 2026™ International Women’s Day clash between Australia and Korea Republic.

Two football powerhouses will collide at Stadium Australia in what is set to be the biggest attendance of the tournament so far, with a huge Sydney crowd expected to create a finals-like atmosphere for this top-of-the-group showdown.

Born in South Korea and raised in Australia, Im’s unique cultural story makes her the perfect artist to mark the occasion, celebrating the connection between the two nations on a night that also honours the strength, leadership and impact of women across every sector and community.

Following the anthem, Im will return to the field for a half-time performance. Her performance continues the tournament’s world-class entertainment line-up. Following Audrey Nuna’s spectacular Opening Ceremony appearance and ZIPPORAH’s debut of the Official Anthem That’s How We Win, Dami Im adds another standout moment to the biggest and most high-profile edition of the AFC Women’s Asian Cup™ yet.

The 2026 edition has already rewritten the record books, with the tournament setting new benchmarks for both single match attendance and total attendance. To date, 82,371 fans have attended matches, surpassing the previous overall tournament record of 59,910 set at the AFC Women’s Asian Cup 2010 in China, with the competition still in its early stages.

Strong attendances across Perth, the Gold Coast and Sydney have demonstrated the extraordinary appetite for women’s football, and Sunday night’s epic clash is poised to lift the benchmark once again.

Tickets remain available for Sunday’s International Women’s Day showdown between Australia and Korea Republic at Stadium Australia.

Fans are encouraged to secure their seats now and be part of what promises to be one of the defining and most electric nights of the tournament.
