The teams

The qualifying teams

Four teams have qualified for the AFC Women’s Asian Cup™ 2026; hosts Australia, nine-time champions China PR, 2022 runners-up Korea Republic and two-time champions Japan.

Qualifying for the remaining spots will be held from June 23 across several host nations (Thailand, Myanmar, Indonesia, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, Cambodia, Jordan and Tajikistan). The 34 teams will compete in eight groups for the final eight spots. 18 of the 34 teams are vying for their maiden appearance in the Women’s Asian Cup.
