the city

Home to icons such as the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach, Sydney is Australia’s most internationally recognised city. But it’s more than just its icons.
It offers cutting-edge restaurants down historic laneways; golden sands on turquoise oceans; and dewy, green rainforests surrounded by epic sandstone cliffs. This is Sydney.

It’s a city that shines with an action-packed calendar of major events – with blockbuster international sport, premiere musicals, exciting exhibitions and uniquely Sydney festivals.

After all, who can forget the FIFA Women’s World Cup 2023, where Sydney helped deliver the largest women’s football event in history – filling stadiums to capacity across the tournament, a thrilling series of finals, and unprecedented fan engagement all igniting a swell of football passion in Australia and around the world.
