GOLD COAST STADIUM
Making Your Visit Easier
At Gold Coast Stadium, we are committed to creating an inclusive environment that prioritises the accessibility, safety, security, and comfort of all visitors.
Our friendly volunteers and venue staff are always ready to lend a helping hand whenever needed on event days to ensure an enjoyable experience for all.
Accessibility Features
- 172 wheelchair positions (with generous seat widths)
- 191 escort seats
- Level walkways except for some low angle ramps
- Accessible bathrooms are located throughout the venue on all stands and within Corporate spaces
- Wheelchair accessible lifts on the North, South and West stands
Gold Coast Stadium supports and recognises the Hidden Disability Sunflower
The Sunflower is a globally recognised symbol for Hidden Disabilities. The lanyard is a way that people with Hidden Disabilities can indicate to staff that they may need extra support, time, and understanding.
Sensory Room
Need a quiet space to retreat and recharge at one of our live events? We’ve got you covered.
The sensory room was built with all patrons in mind but designed with a particular focus on supporting our neurodiverse customers.
Sensory bags are available to borrow from the Clak Room (near Gate E)/Box Office during your visit, and each bag contains items such as fidget toys and noise-cancelling headphones to help create a calming and comfortable experience.
Ask any of our friendly customer service staff during an event and they will guide you to the space.
Accessible Communication: Auslan & Subtitles
- Auslan interpretation is available at all matches to support Deaf and hard of hearing patrons.
- Live captions/subtitles are also provided on stadium screens for key announcements and selected content.
Wheelchair Access
All designated accessible seating is located without the need to utilise the stairs, or is accessible via lifts.
Please see the friendly event staff at your gate for the best accessible route to your seat.
On event days, a limited number of free accessible parking spaces are available on Stadium Drive (east side of the venue) for holders of Australian Disability Parking Permits (purple/blue). Please note that parking for red Queensland Disability Parking Permits is not available due to limited space.
Accessible parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Ensure your permit is displayed at all times, as spot checks will be conducted to confirm that permit holders are traveling in the vehicle.
Please note: Vehicles parked in accessible spaces will have restricted movement approximately 30-40 minutes before the end of an event until up to 45 minutes after the event. This is to ensure safe egress of patrons and will be enforced by the Queensland Police Service.
Gold Coast Stadium offers a free, accessible shuttle bus service from the park and ride location at Firth Park, Somerset Drive, Mudgeeraba. This service is available to disability permit holders and individuals with other accessibility needs or injuries, subject to capacity. Parking is located near the bus departure point, and low-level accessible buses are used for these trips.
Accessible Transport
In addition, all Kinetic Bus and Queensland Rail services are wheelchair accessible.
